Question

What is Guadalajara known for?

Answer

Apart from it being Dani's family's hometown where she spent most summers growing up, Guadalajara is known for having a rich history and for being the place of origin of both tequila and mariachi music! Guadalajara is also the second largest city in Mexico after Mexico City.

Question

Do I have to know Spanish to travel around Guadalajara?

Answer

No! Guadalajara is the 2nd largest city in Mexico and is mostly a Spanish speaking city, but many individuals speak English. (Although it's not too late to start your Duolingo!)

Question

Do I need to take Mexican Pesos?

Answer

Many places accept debit / credit cards from all majors banks, but we suggest taking some Pesos as some local stores /markets only accept cash. Pesos can be exchanged at your bank by ordering them a few days in advance, through a currency exchange store or at the airport (although airport currency exchange stores generally give the lowest rate).

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Church Ceremony and the Reception is Black-Tie optional. For men, we suggest a tuxedo or a dark suit. For ladies, we suggest an evening gown or a floor length dress. Ladies - no dress is too formal (we know Dani loves to dress up)! Dress to impress The dress code for the Tornaboda is Upscale brunch. For men we suggest short sleeve button up shirts and pants, and for ladies we suggest sun dresses, two pieces, or nice pants with a blouse

Question

What will the weather be like in Guadalajara, Mexico?

Answer
