Matron of Honor
My sister from another mother!!! Daren and I go way way back, I still remember when she came home from the hospital, she was cute as a button. When she cried, she sounded like a kitten and she would turn as pink as her blankie. It was the most precious thing!!! I could go on and tell you so many stories of her early days, but I'll save some for another time. As a young girl, Daren presented as shy and unsure of herself, but little did we know; she would grow up to be a phenomal young woman, whose determination and self-discipline has propelled her in the right direction. Daren, my sister, I am so proud of you and I am so honored to be part of this journey!!! I pray for Jehovah's guidance and blessings as you prepare for the big day and beyond!!!
Best Man
Let’s just say that some of my favorite memories with Elio are simply rooted in how we would always be together, not letting each other lack in life, but always laughing while enjoying life. True, we may have met by pure chance in middle school. That fate encounter back ages ago would truly turn a friend into a brother. But as brothers we have seen everything and grown together creating a bond that is unbreakable. We have been there for each other at some of the lowest points in life but have never left each other’s side always there to keep each other grounded in life. Funny enough, we both are the same yet the opposite of each other. Elio has helped me grow always pushing me to better myself and it is truly an honor that he has appointed me this position. I cannot wait to be his best man and stand with him on this big day!

Born as cousins, given the role as her godmother, and choosing to become friends. Daren is someone who has been a constant in my life from my earliest memories to today. We’ve gone from playdates in diapers to traveling together as young women. I actually remember us fighting when we were in elementary school and we were so angry that we fell asleep without talking to one another, however the next day we were thick as thieves ready to tackle the day ahead. I am grateful to have grown along side such a beautiful young woman whom I was blessed to be connected with at birth.

I had the pleasure of meeting Daren while we were both attending the University of Florida for our undergraduate studies. During our time together, we both became leaders with Partners in Health Engage. From the moment we first met, she shared her personal story with our team, which moved me to tears. It was a powerful reminder of the significance of our role as global health advocates. Since then, Daren and I have been best friends often referring to ourselves as twins. I genuinely cherish our bond and look forward to this next chapter in her life <3!

Cousins first. Elio and I have not had a moment in life where we haven’t been in each other’s lives. Elio has always been in my corner, being one of my biggest supporter but it didn’t always seem like this. I remember a younger Elio who was the biggest pain to come over to my house. He wouldn’t leave me alone bothering me to no end. Yet, when I faced some of the hardest times in my life he was always there. Maybe he didn’t know it but he was already showing parts of his true character, that genuine, unmatched kind of soul that you can always rely on. I don’t know when things changed but at some point we watched each other grow and would always be there when the other needed it. Making him my brother he is there to uplift me at my lowest pushing me to be better everyday and knowing that I can count on him whenever I need a brother, uncle, or mechanic.

What is there for me to say about Daren that you all don’t already know? Maybe that she is the most compassionate, understanding and strong willed person I know. Any and I mean ANY challenge that has had the misfortune of coming up against her has been overcome. Though Daren may be younger than me in age and viewed as my little sister, I see her as my role model and I aspire to accomplish a fraction of the things she’s done in life so far.

Honestly, thinking about how long ago that day was when I first met Daren makes me feel so old so instead let’s talk about Daren! Despite how tough a situation may seem to her she does not quit. If she has a goal, trust me, she will fulfill it. She’s the friend who will keep it real with you, encourage you, laugh with you, cry with you, and inspire you all in one. I admire your ambition, loyalty, and even more your unwavering love. Since the day we met I knew there was something about you and I know everyone else can say the same. Thank you for being such a loving person to everyone in your life, especially to me! Congratulations! GIIIIIIIIIRL you’re getting MARRIED!!!!

At 11 years old, I could’ve never guessed I would meet one of my bestest friends. I was, and still am, the type of person who loves physical affection. One day, after giving my friends a hug to greet them at the beginning of class, Daren came up and asked “I never get a hug, can I get one too?” From then on, she became part of my routine, the person I confided in, laughed with, cried with, told secrets to, grew up with, and a person I truly love with all my heart. 12 years and counting, I’m glad to be here to witness and be a part of a new and exciting chapter of her life, and pray that I can be there for her for many, many more.

I first crossed paths with the Bride during our time at Apopka High School. Our connection went beyond the classroom as we shared a deep passion for learning and the pursuit of our aspirations. Beyond the serious stuff, we also found amusement in our shared initials, DP, which naturally led us to affectionately dub each other 'name twins.' Our friendship was built on more than just academics or the coincidence of our names matching; it was forged through genuine care and affection. Daren has always been there for me when I needed her most and I’m more than happy to be there for her on her big day.

Luigi 😂, as I first knew him and no he is definitely NO athlete. I first met Elio back in elementary school, when I would sleep over at my Aunts house and would raid my cousin (Daren)’s and my older sister’s FaceTime calls with Elio. These were the first interactions with him that would develop our relationship. When I would finally meet him in person, there are many memorable moments that have stuck with me appreciating who he is. Thanks for running in the rain with me in Chinatown in Boston 😂, showing up to my graduation, and being understanding in ways many people are not. I am happy for Elio and my cousin. Elio, please treat her well man!

I’ve known Daren since she was a little girl. One thing I love about her is that she will go after what she wants no matter what. Her thoughts became her reality. She focused on the good, the positive, and the beautiful in life. What she focused on expanded and now she’s about to marry the man of her dreams!

Daren and I met through a prehealth org we were both in during our undergrad. Though I knew Daren through that club, we had never really talked outside of it. When looking back at the start of our friendship, I’m not entirely sure when or how it happened. One day I just knew that Daren was one of my people, the kind of people that you take through life with you and that have your back and you have theirs through thick and thin. I am incredibly fortunate and excited to celebrate her happiness and her milestones in life 💜.

Daren and I met in high school band class as fellow clarinetists but we’re pretty sure that we crossed paths before during the Ocoee High School Marching Band middle school night! There are honestly so many amazing and funny memories that we have shared during the time that we have been friends, but by far one of my favorite memories that I am very fond of was during our Senior Year of high school when we were leaving MPA for a marching band, and the bus left us! I still remember laughing so hard but also being worried that we were stranded as we chased after the school bus. Since I’ve met Daren she has been a true friend, and has shown me so much kindness and compassion, I am very grateful that I have her in my life and i’m so excited for her future as Mrs. Ramirez-Solis!

To say that I’m so proud/excited for Daren’s big day is an understatement. The girl I met in middle school, who I called my twin, the one who has always told me “Invite me to the wedding 💌,” now to me saying it back to her and the day finally coming. I am incredibly happy for Daren and Elio, and this new chapter that they have decided to create.

My favorite memories with Daren were any of the ones we made in marching band together in high school. Her and my other friend Amy are what made my time in marching band worthwhile. I miss all the fun times we had together and cherish those memories forever. We would always make each other laugh…even in moments we were not supposed to be laughing, such as if we sounded bad. We always would always find ways to entertain ourselves even in the most boring practices. I cherish my friendship with Daren and I am so excited for this next chapter in her life and to see this beautiful union of marriage.

Daren and I met at church over 10 years ago, and although the majority of our friendship was/is long distance, we never miss a beat!

In 2020, Daren and I were randomly assigned college roommates, and the rest is history! I am lucky to say that I have a real and genuine friend like Daren. And although her movie trivia skills are questionable, I feel so fortunate to be a part of her special day!
