π°πππ: In the fifth-grade classroom of Mr. Martes, destiny crafted the first lines of our story. I, the math whiz, and Daren, the bookworm. We were introduced as two separate souls, unique and distinct, mere acquaintances at the time. Middle school came along and our parallel stories intertwined only by chance meetings in the bustling halls. π―ππππ: Yet, it was in the eighth grade, amidst the not so βharmoniousβ notes of a shared band class, that our stories truly merged. Fate had a sense of humor, for it was Elio's persistence, albeit endearing, annoyance in this class that would make us strangers no more. π―ππππ: High school arrived, and I moved away, shifting the narrative. No longer zoned for the same school, it seemed our stories might diverge for good. However, a message on the now-forgotten platform, Kik, rekindled our connection. βWhy donβt I see you around Evans?β Elio had asked. Little did I know this message would spark a rekindling of friendship later evolving into our high school love story, written in the stars on October 27th, 2016. π°πππ: Fast forward, graduations came, and with them, the test of distance. We conquered it, growing together through college, transcending the naivety of teenage love. Distance had strengthened our bond. With that, just as we had started, we concluded our college journey. Daren on to apply to PA school, and I on to my engineering careerβor so it would seem for Daren. π―ππππ: As I have learned, life is serendipitous at its best and another twist presented. For our college post-graduation trip, Elio surprised me when he announced we would be going to Japan! Unknowingly, amidst the beauty of Kyoto, a proposal transpired beneath the storm-cloaked mountains and the foot of Arashiyama Bamboo Forest when Elio knelt down capturing my heart forever. Six years after our story began, I said "yes" to my future husband.

Today, as we stand on the precipice of young adulthood, we are grateful for the journey, the myriad ups and downs, and the remarkable experiences that have sculpted our story. With faith, we are learning to entrust it to God (Proverbs 3:5), ready to embrace the chapters yet to be written, hand in hand.
