The closest airports are Cedar Rapids - Eastern Iowa Airport (30 min drive to Iowa City), Quad Cities (1 hour drive to Iowa City) and Des Moines (2 hour drive to Iowa City). Flying into Chicago (3.5 hour drive to Iowa City) and then driving into Iowa takes a bit longer but flights are typically much cheaper.
