FAQs

If your question isn't answered below, feel free to reach out to Tyler (319-930-1925) or Danielle (720-252-2998) leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, please field all questions to the Mother-of-the-Bride, Laraine (303-520-0477), or Mother-of-the-Groom, Courtney (319-330-6720).
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st, 2023 (or sooner!) through this website (see RSVP tab)

Question

I'm coming from out-of-town, when should I book my travel?

Answer

Because wedding weekend also coincides with a Game Day weekend and Parent's weekend at the University, we recommend booking flights, hotels, rental cars, etc. well in advance. Des Moines and Cedar Rapids are small airports, so flights in and out can get very expensive. For more information about flights and hotels, please see the Travel & Accommodations tab.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:00 PM. We ask guests to plan to arrive no later than 4:45 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Because the wedding is outdoors , we suggest guests wear something "dressy casual" (some examples can be found here: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-dressy-casual). We do want to remind guests that the entirety of the wedding (ceremony + reception) will be outdoors so make sure to wear shoes that you feel comfortable wearing on grass and gravel.

Question

Can I bring a date/guest? Are kids welcome?

Answer

Since there is limited space in the reception area, we ask that only those who are specifically included on your invitation you received attend. Thank you in advance for understanding!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

A block of rooms is reserved at the Staybridge Inn & Suites in Coralville (see Travel & Accommodations tab for more information). If the block is full or you'd rather stay elsewhere, there are many hotel and Airbnb options in Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle to take guests from the Staybridge Inn & Suites to and from the wedding ceremony/reception. If you plan on driving to the Jensen's farm, please note that it's fairly winding, has deer around it regularly, and can be hard to see at night. If you are not comfortable with these driving conditions but are not staying at the Staybridge Inn, we recommend taking an Uber or driving to the hotel so you can catch the shuttle.

Question

Answer

Restaurants: Basta Pizzeria Ristorante - Iowa City Pullman Bar and Diner - Iowa City (great for brunch!) 30hop - Coralville Iowa River Power Restaurant - Coralville (the spot of Danielle and Tyler's first official date) Mosley's Barbecue and Provisions - Iowa City Sushiya - North Liberty Short's Burger - Iowa City Bluebird Diner - Iowa City Wig and Pen Pizza Pub - Coralville Coffee: High Ground Cafe - Iowa City Java House - Iowa City Bars: Brix Cheese Shop & Wine Bar - Iowa City Big Grove Brewery - Iowa City Vue Rooftop - Iowa City Joe's Place - Iowa City (college bar with a fun rooftop)

If I have questions leading up to or on the big day, who should I contact?

Answer
