If you're travelling from afar, we recommend combining the trip with a summer holiday in Greece. You can choose to plan your vacation either before or after the wedding. For those flying in, we suggest arriving in Portaria/Volos a day before the wedding to give yourself time to rest and recover from your journey before the festivities begin.
Visa applications can be overwhelming! Having had our fair share of visa struggles, we will do our best to advise. Please reach out!
Please RSVP by the 15th of April.
"As we’ve got our home dressed up with accessories, We don’t really think that a wedding gift list is necessary. But if you did want to give something to help us on our way, Some money in a card would truly make our day!"
The ceremony begins at 7.30pm, so please arrive at the church a bit before.
Yes, please specify when you RSVP.
July and August are the hottest months of the year in Greece. Don't forget to bring your sunscreen and stay hydrated. Cities like Athens and Thessaloniki can get unbearably hot, particularly during midday hours. Portaria, being a hilly region, is relatively cooler, but you can expect temperatures in the mid-30s.
The dress code is semi-formal attire- suits (though not tails coats or top hats!), cocktail dresses or formal wear. Keep the weather and setting in mind when you plan your outfit. July is one of the hottest months in Greece. The church may get uncomfortably warm, as there is no air conditioning. However, it should get cooler later at night, so consider bringing a light shawl or jacket. Consider the cobblestones and grass at the wedding venue, when picking your shoes- stilettos are not recommended!
