We met back in December of 2021. I had just joined our local volunteer fire and rescue agency and not long after he joined as a volunteer as well, but also started as one of their career staff EMT’s. I definitely thought he was a cutie and had a crush on him but I had told myself I was not looking for a relationship and had joined our volunteer agency to gain EMS experience, NOT look for a boyfriend (Lol). However, we spent a lot of time together there and ran quite a few calls together and his personality really started to grow on me. I then decided to get a puppy; my sweet beagle, Hank! For awhile he went everywhere with me, including the station. Dan also would have his dog Kai there as well and we realized the two of them got along together so well and quickly became BFF’s! At this time, I still did not think that Dan had the slightest bit of interest in me other than just friends so I just played it cool and let things roll with how they were. Fast forward some to March of 2022 - I had my jaw reconstructive surgery and was out of commission for about 6 weeks or so. Most of that time was spent at home healing as I was very sore, very bruised in the face, and very swollen. I was also having to retrain myself how to eat, drink, etc. Dan then started messaging me asking how I was doing, feeling, etc. At this time I was still oblivious and just assumed he was being friendly lol. Then, I noticed we were talking every day, and then it was all day every day. Finally, after some time, Dan finally started throwing some hints at me! Then on May 19, 2022, we officially started dating. Now fast forward to a year and a half later, we have so much love! We also now have 4 sweet doggies between the two of us, and officially are now in the process of working on planning our forever together. I spent so many nights praying for a good man, a loving man, a godly man, a patient man. I knew I was on God’s timing and he would send me my person when he thought I was ready, and boy did he ever! Daniel is truly my person and I couldn’t have asked for God to send me a better man to spend the rest of my life with.

Cassie and I met in December of 2021 at Gretna Fire & Rescue, when she would come to visit her cousin Tyler, and as I found out later, myself as well. For a while, Cassie would come to hang out and I never thought anything of it, as she did not seem as if she was interested in a relationship, let alone me. As time progressed, we began to speak more and more which eventually led to us talking every day and becoming closer. As time moved on, we quickly realized our feelings for each other were becoming stronger and come May of 2022, we began dating. Since then, we have shared many memories such as our roadtrips, dates, cooking, and my personal favorite, picking at each other. We quickly realized that our lives are similar in more ways than we imagined, and we bonded closely over this. While our bond grew stronger, our dogs did as well and I realized, Cassie is the one. Fast forward to December of 2022, Cassie and I first shared that we loved each other and we were over the moon. This brought our relationship to a whole new level! We continued to share memories, and quality time together until I began to plan our proposal and now we are due to get married October 2024. When I decided to propose, I was gifted a family ring, from my Papaw to use for the engagement. I also then began to plan the day with my parents along with my brother and his wife. Overall, our proposal was a bit hectic due to some funny mis-planning, however was a great time with family, and in the end, she said yes!. Since then, we have had many adventures planning our wedding on top of our regular shenanigans.
