The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
You can expect the following for the month of June: daily high temperatures increase by 6°F, from 80°F to 86°F, rarely falling below 70°F or exceeding 93°F.
The Ceremony and the Reception are both being held in The Aviary in Miller Park, Lynchburg VA, 24501: 301 Grove St. Lynchburg, VA 24501
The Ceremony and Reception will be held indoors. As the venue is in a park, there will be plenty of space to step outside and stretch your legs if need be.
The Bridal Party will head outside directly following the ceremony to take photographs. Cocktail hour will begin in the same room as the ceremony took place. You can grab a drink and enjoy passed appetizers. We will also have a mini lounge upstairs with a comfy seating area and games to be played.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
The Ceremony begins at 3:00 pm so you may want to give yourself a 30 minute buffer to arrive and get settled.
There is plenty of parking around the venue. Parking is free.
If they are on the guest list when you RSVP then definitely! While we would love all children to be in attendance, the venue has limited seating and we must plan accordingly.
The venue accommodates a set number of people so we need to be strict with our guest list. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
We are asking our guests to RSVP through this website on the RSVP tab. Our deadline date is April 15th.
This venue is not wheel chair accessible. There are a few steps into the venue and the restrooms are located downstairs.
You can expect a complimentary selection of beer, wine, and signature cocktails throughout the night. You can also expect a cocktail hour, buffet style dinner with several proteins and sides, and dessert pie bar.
We are using the Zola platform which also includes our registries with other stores. You can click on our registry tab and all registry items are listed there.
Transportation will not be provided from our blocked hotels, however, the venue is 1.9 miles from both the Craddock Terry Hotel and the Virginian Hotel. Please see the transportation tab for more information regarding lodging.
You are more than welcome to take a centerpiece once the reception is over at 9.
We are having an unplugged ceremony so that we can be fully present as we commit our lives together before God. Once the reception starts, YES, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #DanumnmiteDuo so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
Regrettably, we will not be having a virtual link to the wedding or reception.
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
The Reception ends at 9:00 pm. There are several places open later in the evening all within close proximity to the venue if you would like to keep the party alive!
