Flight
This is Mérida´s main airport with direct international and national flights. From a convenience perspective, this airport is perfect. From the airport you can pick a taxi, which is very affordable ( ~10 USD to downtown or even cheaper if taken from outside of the airport).
Flight
A second alternative is to fly to Cancún, where you can either rent a car or pick up a very cheap and safe bus to Mérida. From a time perspective it is inconvenient, but it can sometimes be cheaper and work as a great holidays combo. If you decide to take this route, good news is that there are buses directly from Cancún airport to Mérida, more information here: https://es.cancunairport.com/autobuses.html
Travel Note
Cabs: Local cabs and platforms such as Uber, Indriver, didi and cabify. (Mostly recommended, it is also very cheap if you come from abroad! I would expect trips to cost less than 10 USD regardless of wherever you go in the city.) Bus terminal: In the center (71st street by 67th) which arrives to different points such as Progreso, Cancun, Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Playa del Carmen, Valladolid or Campeche. Turibus Tourist Circuit: Excellent option to get to know the city through a specialized guide. Urban transportation: Most economical option for transportation. The average fare is $8 pesos and 90% of them reach the center of the city.
Hotel
Merida is well known for having TONS of small boutique hotels that are very pretty and comfortable, and range for all price preferences. Just a reminder, places with prices as low as 30 or 40 USD may be already nice since Mexican currency is much lower. You can also try to find some luxurious options above 100 USD which will surely not disappoint you. The best zones to stay are around downtown or Paseo Montejo. This is the central zone of Merida.

Since we will not have the majority of the people in the same location, we thought it was easier to let everyone arrive separately. It is easy to do so with Uber or your preference of local transportation. On the way back we will provide some transportation (for example, for those that drank too much and have to drive back.)
