It was the first night of our freshman year of college at the campus center and Damien swears it was love at first sight. He told me that we would get married someday after we talked for a few minutes. We remember joking about what our married lives would look like as we walked to taco bell in the rain with the rest of our newfound friends and ended the night gathered around a laptop watching Mean Girls. Soon we were spending all of our free time together and on September 15th, 2014 he asked me to be his girlfriend.

It was a hot day in the valley and Damien insisted we escape the summer heat and head to the coast. We packed a picnic and brought Honey Bea along for the fun. We drove around for a bit until we found a cozy spot at Smelt Sands State Park. We enjoyed our snacks while watching the birds and listening to the waves hit the rocks from the comfort of our little beach tent. It was serene when he pulled out the ring and asked me to be with him forever, an easy yes. After we walked along the rocky coastline and captured a few photos to treasure for a lifetime.
