The closest international airport, from there you can take a bus to the train station to reach Udine. There is a direct FlixBus to Udine but you need to book it beforehand. You can also rent a car directly there and be more flexible.

Many international flights connect to Milan. From there, a bus will take you to the central station where you can get a train to Udine. You can find direct trains that take only 4 hours. Regional trains have 2-3 stops and are cheaper.

Staying in Udine

We recommend you find accommodation in one of the various hotels or apartments via Airbnb/Booking.com in the center of Udine as we will have a shuttle service to and from there on the day of the wedding. If you want to explore other options in the area, we recommend you rent a car. While Udine and Friuli in general, are very safe, the neighborhood near the train station is not the safest at night. There are many affordable hotels in that area, and probably everything will be fine, just please be aware of this.
