Bamboo Cafe was our first date! Hands down our favorite restaurant in Richmond. Swing by after 6pm for their special entrees, and as a plus, they're the heaviest pour in the city!
Maymont
The location of our ceremony and reception site, Maymont Park is a historic 100 acre property that features the original Maymont Mansion, now a historic house museum, an arboretum, formal gardens, a carriage collection, native wildlife exhibits, a nature center, and Children's Farm. You could easily spend an entire day enjoying the park with a picnic lunch.
Proper Pie Co.
Proper Pie is located in Richmond's Historic Church Hill and is one of our favorite places. It is takeout only, but not to worry- Patrick Henry Park is right across the street. Proper Pie is a small, quaint bakery serving a rotating menu of New Zealand–style pies with sweet & savory fillings. Don't miss trying this unique spot!
Belle Isle
Belle Isle is a small 54-acre island in the city of Richmond, Virginia. Belle Island lies within the James River System, and is one of our favorite places to take the pups for a hike.
Scott's Addition Historic District
Revitalized, hip Scott’s Addition is the hub of the city’s brewing scene, with cideries, taprooms, and distilleries housed in converted warehouses, all in walking distance from each other. Some of our favorite places in Scott's Addition are Ardent Brewing, eaZZY Burger, Vasen Brewing, Strangeways Brewing, The Circuit (Arcade Bar), and Dont Look Back (Pool hall and Tacos!)
