The Wedding Website of Curby Wasco and Matt Carmichael
Question

Ceremony Seating Arrangements

Answer

Our ceremony site will allow for 75 chairs, some of which will be reserved for our parents and extended family. Other seating will be first come first serve. If there are no more seats, you are welcome to stand in the garden, or bring a blanket to sit on. The ceremony will be short.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The address for our ceremony site is 1700 Hampton St, Richmond, VA, 23220, in the Italian Gardens. Once parked, you will enter the gates at the entrance and follow the directional signs for "Wasco/Carmichael Wedding" towards the Italian Garden. The reception site address is 2201 Shields Lake Drive, Richmond, VA, 23220, at the Robins Nature Center. Once the ceremony is over, all vehicles will need to be moved from the Hampton St Parking lot to the Nature Center lot, which is less than a 5 minute drive. As Maymont is a public park, we recommend carpooling as spots may be limited. Street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is available. The Ceremony Site (Italian Gardens) is accessible on either side by stairs. We will have transportation available for those with limited mobility. Please reach out to us directly to coordinate.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors in the Italian Gardens. Should there be inclement weather, our ceremony will take place at our reception site at the Robins Nature Center West Terrace (2201 Shields Lake Drive).

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Formal/Semi-Formal or Cocktail attire are preferred.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 21 on our wedding day. We appreciate your understanding if you need any assistance from us, please feel free to reach out.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer
