Take a stroll through gorgeous neighborhoods and learn the colorful past of this historic town.
Savannah is home 22 different squares. Below is a link with a map and discription of each. These mini parks are each designed to pay tribute to or honor a historical figure. Some have ghost stories while some are famous for other reasons. Chippewa Square is home to the iconic bus bench scenes from Forrest Gump. Although the bench itself was placed there for the movie...spoiler alert, the square is still one of our favorites. Grab a drink at Six Pence Pub and wander though our favorite piece of movie history!
Fort James Jackson is a restored nineteenth-century fort located one mile east of Savannah, Georgia, on the Savannah River. It hosts the Fort Jackson Maritime Museum. Its worth the quick drive out of downtown.
Words cannot do this Cathedral justice. Stop in to take a look around- we loved it!
We did the Haunted Pub Crawl! We took this tour on our second trip here. Savannah is an open container town. This means can wander with your beverage of choice! So fun, interesting and we spent some time outside the Colonial Park Cemetery (MUST SEE) hearing about the Civil War and some of the many reasons this town is so haunted!
