We met when we were both getting our masters in bioethics. At first, we were just friends trying to school the other one in baseball knowledge (hint, Kait won). Our friendship quickly evolved into so much more. Over the years, we experienced a global pandemic, medical school, a second masters degree, and a love of bourbon.

A ring was made. Daniel, Terri, Dan, and Leslie spent several months crafting a ring small enough to fit Kait's finger. They settled on her Mom's diamond wrapped in rose gold. The day after Christmas arrived and Daniel told Kait they were going on a date. He took her ice skating, reminiscent of their first Valentine's Day together. Unbeknownst to her, he proposed on the ice after taking a few laps around. Of course, she said YES.
