Answer

The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual. Men should wear a sport coat or blazer with khakis or slacks; tie optional. For shoes, men should wear dress shoes or loafers. Women can wear separates or dresses at any hem length and in more casual materials like cotton or linen. For shoes, women should wear heels, wedges, or dressy flats.

Question

Is there a hotel room block reserved?

Answer

We do not have a reserved hotel room block. However, there are many hotels near our venue. See the Travel page for a few of them. If you would like to stay at the same hotel as the wedding couple/party, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Blanc.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time, and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the outdoor gazebo, weather permitting. The cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors in the Grand Ballroom. However, there is an outdoor patio we will have access to during the reception as well.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party and family will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight to the Grand Ballroom for Cocktail Hour.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Food and drinks will be served at the reception. We will have a buffet-style dinner and an open bar. Last call for the bar will be at 10:30 pm. The bar will be closed between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm, so make sure to get a drink before the bar temporarily closes.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

If you need a special diet option, please contact Andrea by the RSVP deadline with your restrictions, or if you RSVP via our wedding website, there will be a drop-down option for any dietary restrictions you have. The menu option for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free is an ancient grains dish with roasted vegetables.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Target, Amazon, and Zola Honeymoon Fund.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

For the commencement of the ceremony itself, we are requesting an unplugged ceremony and will ask that all cell phones and cameras be put away. However, you are absolutely welcome to take pictures at any other time! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #HappilyEverMalinowski so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

If I am unable to attend, will there be a livestream of the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Although we would love to see everyone's faces at our wedding, we completely understand if you cannot make it. If you would like to watch, the groom will be livestreaming our wedding to his Twitch channel, which can viewed at https://www.twitch.tv/meddadog. It can be viewed on any device, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

Question

What steps are currently being taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Answer

Due to current MDHHS restrictions, all guests will be required to wear a mask except when eating or drinking while seated. All guests will also be required to provide contact information to our venue for contact tracing purposes. There will be a seating chart with six people per table, and all tables will be spaced at least six feet apart. As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has been unpredictable. As such, if there are any changes, we will post any updates here.
