Visit a great local tiki bar with food and fun drinks (21+ only). You might even see some art by "Big Toe," Dane's sister-in-law Scarlett's dad! As Scarlett always reminds us, they may let you have two Zombies per person, but drinking more than one is signing yourself up for the hangover of a lifetime.
Shan Dong
The hand-pulled noodles are to DIE for. Cora dreams about them regularly.
Grand Lake Theatre
Catch a (very reasonably priced) movie at the iconic 1920's-era Grand Lake Theatre!
Lake Merritt
Walk around the lake that's part of what makes Oakland such a special town!
Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
Go for a walk or hike in the redwoods!
University of California, Berkeley
Tour UC Berkeley, where Cora (partially) goes to school! This is especially fun if anyone in your family is looking at colleges to attend.
Cross the Bay to San Francisco
BART, bus, or drive from The Town (Oakland) to The City (San Francisco). There are so many SF neighborhoods to explore! Dane and Cora live in Mission Bay near the Chase Center where the Golden State Warriors play. We love to visit the Mission, Chinatown, and GGP (Golden Gate Park).
