FAQs

If you have any other questions before August 1st, text Cora (530-566-2125). If you have questions after Aug 1, contact our wedding coordinator Vanessa (contact information will be provided later). If you text Cora or Dane the day of the wedding, don't expect a response. We love you but we are going to be busy getting married!!!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 31st! We will send out a reminder by July 25th. If we do not receive an RSVP by July 31st, we will assume you are unable to attend.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:15pm to give yourself time to park and be seated before the 4:30pm ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We suggest festive semi-formal attire. Make it as colorful and creative as you'd like. Suggestions include slacks and a long-sleeve button down with or without a tie and/or jacket, midi or maxi-length dresses, or a dressy jumpsuit. Dress for warm weather but bring a layer as evenings in the Bay Area can be chilly. Please avoid fully white or off-white outfits. Contact Cora (530-566-2125) if you have more questions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would like to keep the event as intimate as possible. If your partner is invited, they will be named on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding. Please reach out to Cora if you need any clarification.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore your children! Due to space limitations, we are unable to invite all guests' families. If your children are invited, they will be named on your invitation. If you have an infant, we may be able to accommodate them, but please check with Cora first.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See the "Travel" page above!

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will do our best to accommodate allergies. Some of our guests have gluten and nut allergies, and gluten-free and nut-free options will be available. Vegetarian options will also be available. If you have more extensive dietary restrictions, please list them in your RSVP and we will contact you as needed.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be at Piedmont Community Hall. There are 30 parking spots available at the venue. There is also safe street parking near the venue. Please carpool and also consider taking public transit or Lyft/Uber. See the "Travel" page for more information.

Question

Any other tips for my stay in the Bay?

Answer

1. To protect your belongings, do not leave items visible in your car, especially overnight. 2. Try a new style of food! Oakland has great Chinese, Ethiopian, and Central American food. 3. Download a Clipper Card on your phone (see "Travel" for directions). 4. Expect fog and be pleasantly surprised if you get sun!
