this is a story about how you should ALWAYS give the class you want to drop a chance. wemet in a public relations course at the university of oklahoma- one that we were both convinced we were going to drop. for some reason (must be a God thing), we both decided to give the class a shot. after an instagram dm exchange about the houston rockets, cooper shot his shot and got rachel's number. shortly thereafter, cooper asked rachel on a date, there were literal fireworks, and the rest is history.
rachel was coming into town to take some grad photos for friends, and rachel's friend emma had booked rachel to take photos of her and her boyfriend at the sutton wilderness trail in norman. instead of the photoshoot, rachel arrived to the location to find a sweet display and cooper, waiting to propose. cooper read scripture, got down on one knee, rachel jumped up and down, and we were engaged! after the proposal, cooper took rachel to an engagement party filled with so many of their sweet friends and family- all who had been a part of a huge group chat and had managed to keep the secret! it is still a mystery to rachel how so many people were able to successfully keep the proposal a secret. a special thank you to aubrey scott for the sweet florals and to jessie clark for capturing the sweet moments!!
