Flight
San Francisco Airport
There are many direct flights to SFO. It is a beautiful 3 hour 45 min drive through wine country and old growth redwood forests to the Benbow Inn. Depending on your arrival time, it is a long day to fly and drive. It might be a good idea to fly in Thursday if possible. There will be significant traffic Friday afternoons, try to leave San Francisco before 1:00pm. We suggest stopping two hours outside of San Francisco at the town of Hopland ,CA for lunch or snacks. Check out The Golden Pig for excellent sandwiches or the STEEP Organic Coffee and Tea House.
Flight
Schultz Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa, CA
There are many connecting flights to the Sonoma County Airport and it is a 2 hour 30 minute drive to The Benbow Inn. We suggest stopping one hour outside of Santa Rosa at the town of Hopland, CA for lunch or snacks. Check out The Golden Pig for excellent sandwiches or the STEEP Organic Coffee and Tea House.
Flight
Arcata-Eureka Airport. Eureka , CA
This airport is small and has connecting flights to major cities in the west. It is 1 hour 30 minute drive to the Benbow Inn. Please note that flights are often delayed and canceled in the summer due to the Humboldt Bay fog. One might plan to come a day early in case of cancelations.
Rental Car
San Francisco Airport , Arcata-Eureka Airport, Sonoma County Airport
If you are flying into the area, we highly recommend that you rent a car. There is no public transportation, Ubers or taxis. You will need a car to explore the beautiful surrounding forests, rivers and towns. Once at the Benbow Inn there will be shuttles to events if you chose not to drive.

The Benbow is a lovely historic inn where the reception will take place and is just a five minute walk to The Julia Morgan Redwood Estate, where the Welcome Dinner and ceremony will be held. This is a developed site with cabins and trailer/car camping spots, just across the highway form the Inn. It is about a 5 minute walk. The rustic cabins are one bedroom and sleep four (one queen bed and one set of bunk beds). Linens provided, full bath and partial kitchen. There are similar cabins that sleep 5-6 people.
