Welcome to the Redwoods. We are excited to share our favorite things to do and see.  

Avenue of the Giants is a great place to begin your adventure by car, on foot, bike or kayak.  The scenic drive among the redwoods has been called the finest forest drive in the world. The 31 mile Avenue has numerous trailheads leading into a magical redwood forests and river accesses to the scenic Eel River with  swimming spots, fishing and paddling.  The Benbow has maps, bikes and is happy to arrange guided hikes. Just remember to leave ample time to get back!

There will be no lunch served at the Benbow Saturday.
Restaurants in Garberville/Redway are a 5 minute drive from the Benbow Inn:
Woodhouse Cafe is a southern Humboldt classic, especially for breakfast. Other favorite eateries are Il Forno Bakery, Eel River Cafe,  and The Lost Frenchman. 14 miles north in Miranda, CA is the popular  Avenue Cafe.  Most of these restaurants have delicious take away food  for your day in the redwoods.  Enjoy!
