FERRY

Bainbridge Island is a small island city across Elliot Bay from Seattle. It is easily accessible via a short 35 minute ferry from downtown Seattle. The Seattle-Bainbridge ferry runs multiple times a day and holds up to 2500 passengers and 200 cars, so you’re welcome to bring a rental car if you’d like! If you are driving on, plan to be at the ferry terminal at least 45 minutes before your sailing time. You are also welcome to walk onto the ferry without a car. If you’re walking onto the boat, you only pay a fare when traveling from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. The fare is free if walking onto the boat from Bainbridge Island back to Seattle. Ferry reservations can be made online. Click the "View" button below for the up-to-date ferry sailing schedule for Mar 24, 2024 - Jun 15, 2024 and please be aware that the schedule differs on M-F vs. Sat-Sun. For Friday: The Fletcher Bay Winery Tasting Room is a 5 minute walk (0.2 mi) from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. We recommend either the 3:50pm or 4:45pm ferry sailings. Both of these sailings are used by commuters so if you are driving a car on, plan to be early because they will run out of capacity quickly. For Saturday: Our wedding venue is a 10 minute drive from the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. In order to make it to the wedding on time, please be on the 2:10pm ferry sailing. If you choose to not stay the night on the island the night of our wedding, the latest ferry sailings you can take back to Seattle are at midnight and 1:25 AM.

SEA or PAE

For guests flying to Seattle, we recommend flying through the SeaTac airport (SEA). For guests flying to Seattle from California, we also recommend checking out Paine Field airport (PAE) as an option. The light rail (AKA Link) runs every few minutes and is an easy (and cheap!) way to get between SeaTac and the city.

Travel Note

GETTING AROUND

Bainbridge Island is a car-friendly island, so rental cars are completely welcome. Ubers and Lyfts are an option but can be hard to come by at Pleasant Beach so please do not plan on relying on them. Taxis are available to be called and most hotels on the island offer shuttle services upon request. Back in Seattle, Ubers/Lyfts/Taxis are widely accessible and available. We will be offering a shuttle service on the day of the wedding to and from the Bainbridge ferry terminal, a central point for the hotels on the island, and the venue. (We will add updated information regarding specific pick-up points and times soon)
