One of Ireland’s most scenic routes, takes you on a journey through historic sites, Irish speaking villages, famous Hollywood film locations (Star Wars/ Ryan's Daughter) with close up views of the world renowned Blasket Islands and distant views of the Skellig Islands on the south western horizon. Along the drive there are many spots to take beautiful photos and make sure you stop to view the Beehive huts and feed some farm animals along the way. You may even be able to stop off and hold a baby lamb!
There are a handful of beaches near Dingle. This beach you will find along the route of Slea Head Drive. There is a parking lot making it an easy stop and it is one of our favorite spots! You can walk down to the beach or hike around the top mountain above. However, due to strong currents it is not advised to swim here, but you can dip your toes in the cold water!
Also along Slea Head drive this is one of the most photographed locations in Dingle.
This unique tour takes in the breath-taking majestic coastline of Dingle Bay, the caves and the cliffs all the way to the Great Blasket Islands! There are a handful of other boat tour options near Dingle including the Dingle Dolphin Tours and ferries to the Blasket Island. A boat is one of the best ways to see Dingle and the Blasket and Skellig islands.
