Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not going to provide transportation to the ceremony. Rideshares and taxis are plentiful and inexpensive in downtown Portland, and the hotels we have selected are only a short ride away. All of our other events are intentionally planned to be walking distance from the hotels in our hotel block (with the exception of Kex).

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

We intentionally planned this wedding to be car free, and we would strongly advise against renting a car. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are very plentiful and inexpensive and parking will be both expensive and difficult.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average highs in Portland in October are in the 60s, and the lows at night are in the 40s. It may be raining, so definitely check the forecast when you're packing! (And don't worry, the venue is heated and indoors.)

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is indoors in the Pomarius Nursery, which is attached to Blockhouse. The Nursery will be covered and enclosed and Blockhouse itself is an indoor venue. We will have heaters in both venues.

What should I wear?

The wedding is cocktail attire!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

No! We ask that you please keep your phones away during the ceremony. We've got an awesome photographer who will be capturing those moments. Feel free to break them out during the rest of the party.
