Around the Island
Start at Ala Moana Hotel, drive east on H1 fwy, continue on highway route 72 until you reach Kailua town, find your way to highway route 83 through Kaneohe town up north all the way to Haleiwa town. Find your way back south toward H2 fwy and back onto H1 fwy east to make it back to Ala Moana. Enjoy the scenic views on the drive, you can hit some of our food spots we suggested below, and stop at many of the beaches along the way!

Ala Moana Beach Park
Calm waters for swimming, paddling, and an awesome place to play beach volleyball!
Koko Head Trail
Challenging hike, over 1,000 steps to the top, but the view is worth it! Recommend either sunrise or sunset.
Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail
Family friendly hiking trail, paved. Moderate intensity, great views! You can sometimes see the humpback whales out in the ocean here.
Polynesian Cultural Center
Island Villages, Activies, Luau dinner buffet, night show, and more!!
Kualoa Ranch
ATV tour, Zip-lining, Horseback riding, Secret Island activities, and more!!
Liliha Bakery
Famous for their Coco Puffs and Butter Rolls with Jam! Great breakfast and lunch spot. Plenty of pastry options!
Leonard's Bakery
Known for their famous malasadas (fried bread covered in sugar). Main bakery is in Waikiki though they have multiple trucks around the island, they call them Malasadamobiles!
Giovanni's Shrimp Truck
A bit of a drive from town, but worth it for the shrimp! If the line is too long, there are many other trucks nearby, just as delicious!
Matsumoto Shave Ice
Famous shave ice on the island. You can also enjoy the small shops around the small historic town of Haleiwa
Genki Sushi
Get your sushi made to order and delivered on a bullet train or conveyor belt. Locations all over the island!
