Take a tour up at Sears Tower! You'll go up in the elevator and if it's a clear day, see from miles around! It is such a cool view and well worth it. If you do want to see this classic, Chicago site, we do recommend reserving your timeslot ahead of time!
Iconic in its own way, the Bean or (Cloudgate formally) is a must see while in Chicago. Venture down to Millennium Park to grab some cool pictures! **Mike took Clare here on a walk after our second date. There may have been a first kiss near by the park too...
If you have time during the weekend to check it out, the Lincoln Park Zoo is quite a sight. Free to all, this expansive zoo is great to walk around in, with or without kids. **Mike and Clare have been to ZooLights here a few times in the winter.
Check out Navy Pier. This is a great place to walk around, get a drink and some food, and take a ride on the Ferris Wheel!
If the weather is nice out, the Chicago Architecture Boat tour is a must see. 75 minutes long with knowledgable tour guides, you'll go up and down the 3 branches of the Chicago River, learning all about the buildings and their history. **Check Groupon b/c you can usually find decent rates!
Great brewery not too far from the church. Head over for some snacks and brews to pass the time.
This bar has rotating drafts from all over (plus a store attached if you want to take some local brews home with you) and is a great place for catching up, playing board games, and eating a soft pretzel. **Mike and I like to go here from time to time to try their variety of beers. Each year, they build out a great Oktoberfest pack.
