Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask you to let us know your attendance plans no later than September 1st. If we don't hear from you within the week after, we will assume you send your regrets and cannot attend.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, please. Gowns, tuxes, suits, and cocktail dresses are all welcome. If wearing a long dress is the name of the game for you, by all means! Sadly, no togas. Please also remember to bring comfy shoes you can dance in. Due to venue rules, no bare feet will be allowed on the dance floor.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding Mass will start promptly at 1:00 pm. We do recommend getting there no later than 12:30 pm. We do not yet know if the Cubs will be playing. However, please account for extra travel time if they are, as the church is close to Wrigley Field. We will be keeping an eye on this as it gets closer to the wedding.

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

Mass is at 1:00 pm and will probably wrap by 2:30. The cocktail hour starts at 6 pm, so there will be plenty of time to relax/nap/eat/pregame (hah). Please checkout out our "Things to Do" suggestion page.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mass will be indoors. St. Alphonsus does not have air conditioning so hopefully, our day will not be too hot! Cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors.

Is there parking available at St. Alphonsus?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot right next to the church and it is free.

Is there parking available at the reception venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be valet parking available at Biagio's!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Good question. Chicago weather is a fickle lady, so pray for sunshine and cooler temps! We will update the week of the wedding.

Answer

The main course will have filet mignon and chicken. We are working with the venue on the vegetarian option, which will be gluten and dairy free.
