This is my #1 recommendation and my favorite place in the whole world. - Clara :) We recommend a minimum of 3 full days/ 3 nights to enjoy Bariloche and the surrounding Patagonia region. Known for its scenic beauty and stunning lakes, Bariloche is known as the "Switzerland of South America." Whether you want to hike, bike, kayak, golf, or eat & relax in a picturesque mountain-town - this town has it all. Accomodations: Airbnb Hotel Llao Llao (If you don't stay here, highly recommend going for lunch or afternoon tea time - this is a must-see) Correntoso Lake & River Hotel Sightseeing / Things To Do: Route of the Seven Lakes (Day-trip, can rent a car or book a bus) Nahuel Huapi National Park Circuito Chico Cerro Campanario Cerro Tronador Hotel Llao Llao More Information linked below.
Taller and wider than Niagara Falls, the Iguazu Falls are some of the most impressive waterfalls in the world. They run about 2 miles long, along the border of Brazil & Argentina. A 2-3 night stay near the falls will include jaw-dropping views, a boat ride at the base of the falls, and as always, amazing Argentina steak & wine. More information linked below.
Mendoza is located in the foothills of the Andes and is considered Argentina's wine country. A trip to Mendoza will include winery tours & tastings, empanadas & steak, horseback riding, and maybe a hike or two. While the views are not as impressive as Bariloche / Patagonia, this may be a more relaxing option (for those looking for a Napa Valley type of experience).
