Save the dates just went out, with plans for sending the wedding invitations in September/October, so the RSVP date will be included and updated once the invitations are sent.
You can access our registry through our ZOLA website once we finish building the list.
The ceremony begins at 2:30 PM. Please make sure you arrive to the church with plenty of time to find a seat, with a recommendation of a half hour early.
Yes. The ceremony is held in a Catholic Church, so please make sure your choice is appropriate. The reception is semi-formal, meaning tuxedos and gowns are welcome, as are suits and cocktail dresses. The ceremony and reception will both be indoors.
Please only bring a date if your invitation was specifically addressed to include your significant other. Thank you!
We want this to be a celebration and a night to remember, so even though we love your children, the reception is for adults only. We hope you enjoy the night off!
We have a hotel block reserved for wedding guests. We are also providing a shuttle between the hotel and venue to ensure you have safe transportation. The shuttle ride is under ten minutes between the reception venue and the hotel. Please see the "Travel" tab for further information about the hotel block and shuttle times.
There is ample parking at both locations. We are also providing a shuttle between the hotel and reception venue.
As of now, our wedding venue is not offering any postponement or cancellation options. Furthermore, our date is months away. We are planning to move forward with wedding plans in hopes we will be able to celebrate safely with everyone we love. We will be taking precautions to ensure our guests are comfortable, safe, and able to enjoy the festivities.
We are closely monitoring the situation and following guidelines for group events, and will continue to update this space with safety measures. The venue is large enough to safely accommodate our guests and implement social distancing measures. There will be more tables, less seats at each table, and you will be seated with family and friends you have been associating with. Staff will be wearing masks and gloves, and the meal will be served family style. There will also be additional sanitizing stations available. Rest assured, we are willing to do whatever we can to make sure our guests are at ease.
Saint Paul can be reached easily by GPS. Alternatively, you can enter 170 Grosse Pointe Boulevard, Grosse Pointe Farms MI 48236 and enter the church parking lot from the school entrance and the back of the church.
Yes, the wedding will be a full Mass. If you are not Catholic or if you have not received the Eucharist before, you have the option of walking up to the priest with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing. Alternatively, during this time, you can choose to stay seated or kneeled.
Since the wedding takes place in a church and will be a full Mass, please refrain from taking photos or using your camera and phone. We have hired two photographers and a videographer to capture the ceremony, and we will happily share these with you as soon as we receive the images and film!
We chose to be married at Saint Paul on the Lake because we are both members of the parish, and Haleigh teaches at Saint Paul Catholic School, which is located directly behind the church.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any specific dietary restrictions and we will communicate this with our venue so they can accommodate you.
Our wedding colors are white, gold, and emerald green. Bridesmaids will be wearing white, along with the bride.
