Once upon a time, there was a girl who downloaded Tinder looking for some fun and cute boys to date. This girl swiped right on a silly, sweet guy with one dimple and found out he had done the same. Once they were matched, the boy messaged her and they began talking about upcoming plans and they found out that they were both moving to the same area. The boy asked her to go out for celebratory margaritas and wasted no time in asking for her phone number. They ditched the app and began texting nonstop. On the very first day she moved into her new apartment, on March 24, 2016, they planned a date at Imperial in Ferndale. The boy told her to be prepared, because he planned on picking her up and kissing her right away. She obviously thought he was joking, but it turns out, he wasn't. She drank margaritas, he ate street tacos, and they had a great time. The girl didn't think she wanted to settle down, but the boy wanted something more serious. He told her that when she was ready to let him know. The girl wasn't used to this maturity of response and sent the occasional flirty text so he wouldn't forget about her. Fast forward a few weeks to an almost chance date with the boy's best friend, a phone call saying he would pick her up at 8:00 PM that Saturday to go to The Rock on Third, and the rest is history.
The boy and the girl were living happily ever after-ish and having a great summer. From trips to the cottage, boating on the lake, and spending time with family and friends, August rolled around all too quickly and the girl prepared to head back to school that Monday. After spending a full Sunday together shopping (her favorite activity), going to the movies (his favorite activity), and eating delicious food (their favorite activity), the boy asked if she would be interested in grabbing drinks (another favorite activity). The girl said no initially because it was 10:00 PM on a Sunday, but after giving it some thought, she agreed on margaritas to celebrate the end of summer. After having a few drinks at the bar, the boy asked the girl if she wanted to go to a different bar. They exited Imperial through the back and watched a lightening storm under the overhang. There wasn't a soul in sight. The boy, with all his charm, leaned against the building and said, "Wasn't today perfect? What if I told you we could do this forever," as he got down on one knee and surprised the girl. It was perfect and everything the girl ever wanted.
