Flight

Eagle Vail Airport or Denver International Airport

Access to Vail is easy and convenient via Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and Denver International Airport (DEN). EGE is located just 30 minutes from Vail and has non-stop jet service from numerous major domestic and international cities, and DEN is approximately 2-3.5 hours east of Vail. Note: If you fly in/out of DEN to Vail, the weekend traffic can be extremely heavy at peak times adding 1-2 hours each way. Plan accordingly.

Getting around Vail Village and Lionshead after you have arrived....

Once you arrive in Vail Village or Lionshead, you will find little use for a car. Park and enjoy the superb walkability and free Town of Vail electric bus service to get you where you need to go. Uber, Lyft and several private car/limo services are also available. If you need to head down valley to go to a major retailer like Walmart, Home Depot, or a major grocery store to stock your condo kitchen or hotel room, many hotels have free shuttles that will take you.
