Courtney and Jay met in their freshman year at FSU and have been best friends for more than half their lives. In addition to countless Disney and Universal vacations, in 2019 the two travelled the Mediterranean together creating memories that will last their lifetimes.

DJ and Chris met in 2013 at Stetson University where they were were in Phi Mu Alpha, Concert Choir, and Hat Trick together. Chris is honored to have his best friend by his side on the day of his wedding.
Ryan Douglass
Best Man
Ryan was the first person Jay and his parents met at FSU during rookie check-in for Marching Chiefs. Throughout the years they became close friends through their time in Chiefs, and it was from Ryan's suggestion that Jay intern at UHS, that Jay's life changed forever. While Jay did his student teaching, Ryan came and volunteered, then they got hired together and taught together for seven years! In that time they ended up living together for five years, which included multiple trips to NYC, Disney and Universal Annual passes, and Ryan's adoption of Obi-Wan!
Janani Shanmuga

Janani and Chris met in 2012 at Stetson University. They traveled together to Eugene Oregon for the Bach Festival in 2014 and have been inseparable ever since. Janani has helped Chris through the highest highs and lowest lows of his life. Chris was Janani's Man of Honor for her wedding in 2023 and he is honored to have her be his "Best Jan" for his wedding.
Lindsay Denney

Lindsay and Jay met during their freshman year at FSU and became fast friends! Through their time at FSU their bond grew through their love of musical theatre, trash tv, Bernstein and Gershwin. Lindsay and Jay have grown into Disney Adults and love spending their time their together, along with Ryan and Sloan! (Photo ca 2008)

Elizabeth and Chris met at Stetson in 2012 where they were in a vocal studio class together. Since then they have worked on classwork, acappella adventures, operas, musicals, teaching, and surviving together! To know why Elizabeth is also "Brudder" ask her or Chris!
Michael Weintraub

Michael and Jay became friends and college while at FSU, but grew much closer post graduation eventually becoming roommates! They lived together for four years prior to Mike beginning his masters degree at Ohio State, and then for two years following Mike earning that degree. In this time Disney and Universal trips were constant, along with trips to Orlando City Soccer and Miami Heat games.
Trey Moore

Trey and Chris met at Stetson University in 2012 during Hat Trick Auditions. He is Chris' Big Brother in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Trey helped Chris through his coming out process while at Stetson and continues to be an inspiration for him everyday.
Shannon Spier

Shannon and Jay met during her internship in Orlando. They quickly realized they were indeed soulmates! Their friendship strengthened over time and Shannon eventually asked if he'd be the one to officiate her marriage to her true love, Patrick. Since then Jay and Chris have become proud guncles to Carter and soon-to-be baby #2!

Raveena and Chris met at Stetson in 2012. Chris and Raveena's relationship revolves around growth in every aspect. Personal growth, musical growth, financial growth, growing through relationships, and growth after loss. Chris is honored to have Raveena by his side on the day of his wedding!
Joshua Autrey

Josh and Jay became friends during their time at FSU. Josh was dating Jay's Big Sister at the time of his candidacy, and although that relationship ended, Jay and Josh's friendship persevered. During their post graduate life, Josh became part of "The Boys" which included Mike and Ryan, and the four have enjoyed a close friendship for nearly 15 years.
Blake O'Guin

Blake is Chris' actual older brother! Blake has always been the guide for fashion, entertainment, and adventure! Chris is so excited to share this special day with his brother and can't wait to see what the future holds for them both.
Oliver Dunn

Oliver was the final puzzle piece that joined the family in December of 2023. He and Hudson have been such a great fit for each other and Oliver has added immense joy, and chaos, to our world. He will not be in attendance but will be missed dearly on our special day!
Hudson Hickey

Hudson, Hudbud, Lord Bubberton III. Hudson joined the family in May of 2020. He will not be in attendance at the wedding, but he will be there in spirit, and most likely as cat hair on the grooms outfits.
