Jay and Chris met in the summer of 2018 at the FVA Summer Convention and shortly after began singing together as members of Voci del Cuore. They ended up sitting next to each other during rehearsals and in October Chris slid into Jay's DMs asking him for help with tenor/bass voices. While they both knew this was a probably a date, they approached their first dinner with a bit of reservation. The next week the two ended up going on a second date which saw Chris turning the wrong direction onto a one-way street in downtown Orlando, and led to a first kiss. Following this second date, the two travelled to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights with Shannon (Jay's Soulmate) who very quickly approved and had an inkling this was going to be something serious. In the next couple of months they attending a wedding together, took a quick trip to Hilton Head, and Chris survived Jay's panic/preparation for National ACDA. The happy couple also made it through Chris deciding if teaching was going to stay his profession, him leaving his school, and eventually getting hired at Hagerty HS. Following this hire, Chris made the move to Orlando, and the pair continued to celebrate firsts together. For their first anniversary, they happily celebrated at Halloween Horror Nights! In the spring of 2020, Jay and Chris travelled to Atlanta to celebrate the wedding of Shannon and Patrick, only to follow that with a desolate drive home as the entire world shut down to deal with Covid. The two began their online teaching from their own homes, but were grateful to have someone to escape to when staring at the same four walls became too much. That May, the boys brought Hudson into their life and he became the star of the show. In the year following they survived a few rounds of Covid, a trip to Asheville, and began the joy and challenge of cohabitating after Chris moved into Jay's house in the summer of 2021. Within a week of moving in, the boys moved Chris and Hudson to Tallahassee for six weeks for Chris to begin his Master's program! The next year was filled with redecorating, purging, and redecorating some more. In 2022 the boys discovered their love for cruising and have been five cruises together since! In the summer of 2023, while off the coast of the Italy aboard yet another cruise, the boys chose the same night to propose to each other, which was pretty special indeed! They spent the next few days celebrating, and then headed off to London where Chris was going to finish his Masters degree! The remainder of 2023 saw Chris graduating, celebrating their 5th anniversary, and adding Oliver into the mix of their loving household!
