Erin Alanna Matthews is a 24-year-old Urban Planner. She was born in Laurel Maryland and moved to North Carolina in second grade. As the second oldest of the beloved trio of sisters, she has known Breyah for 24 years of her life and shared numerous joyful memories. Her connection with Chris has blossomed through Breyah, and she has formed a special middle-child relationship with Chris. As a recent graduate from Hampton University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sports Management, she poised to embark on a career with a professional sports team or organization, all while nurturing her aspirations to become a Sports Designer. Having known Breyah throughout her life, she holds her in the highest regard. The recollection of meeting her now and forever brother, Chris, during her high school years in Hampton while visiting Breyah one summer is deeply ingrained. Observing the exquisite journey of Breyah and Chris's relationship during that time was genuinely heartwarming and has left an enduring impression on my cherished memories. As the youngest of the Matthews sisters, aged 23, Cierra was born in Laurel, Maryland, and raised in North Carolina. Her commitment extends beyond her educational pursuits to embracing the celebration of the beautiful union between two individuals she deeply admires. Johnna was born and raised in North Carolina. She is 26 years old and currently working full time as a lab technician. She graduated in December 2021 from UNCW with her bachelors of science in environmental science! Johnna is sweet and caring. She loves animals to the fullest extent and can’t wait to fill her home with furry friends. Johnna is a cousin of the bride and met Chris through her. She shares several fond memories growing up with her cousins so much so that she views them more as sisters than cousins. Breyah and Chris are so kind and thoughtful. Avery Beamon is a college graduate from Johnson & Wales class of 2017, where she majored in Baking & Pastry Arts with a minor in Business Management. Currently, she owns Craves By Aves, a bakery in Connecticut. Her passions are traveling the world, exploring different cultures, and indulging in diverse cuisines. Breyah and Avery discovered they were family by way of marriage during the summer of 2007 when she visited her Aunt and Uncle in North Carolina. From the first day they met, she spent every day at her house, listening to Big Sean's song "Dance". Over the years, they stayed in touch. During her college years, she decided to celebrate her birthday at Hampton University's homecoming, where she reunited with Breyah and met her now-fiancé, Chris. They had an incredible time, and let's just say, what happened at homecoming stays at homecoming! She is also a foodie and loves meeting new people. Zoe met Breyah in high school and they have been close friends ever since. She is honored to support & witness the union of Breyah & Chris. Zoe loves them dearly and is extremely excited to celebrate the couple’s new journey with family and friends.

Amber Douglass is currently a middle school, math teacher. She met Breyah Freshman year at Hampton University when she walked into her room, sat on her floor, and just started talking to her. They've been close ever since. Chris came along a few years later and has been her rock ever since! They have been through so much together in the last 10 years and Amber wouldn't change it for the world. She is so excited for the future that Breyah and Chris are building together and she is so honored to be part of the ride!

Maya is from St. Louis and met Breyah at honors visitation weekend at Hampton University. Maya met Chris in the engineering department at Hampton and watch the couple grow over the years. Post-graduating Maya relocated to Huntington Beach for work. Her and Breyah remain great friends and frequently meet up for coffee dates at Philz Coffee!

Amari met Breyah & Chris around the same time, the summer before they both began their journey to pursue their PhDs at the University of California, Irvine. Breyah and Chris were inseparable!! Throughout the course of our friendship, we've truly become more like family! Breyah and Chris are both genuinely caring and loving individuals. Together, their love shines so bright. I am sooo very grateful for Breyah and Chris, they've been there for me in so many supportive ways. Breyah is truly my sister. We would often have deep meaningful conversations in Verano or Palo Verde lol about any and everything, and Chris was always willing to be a handyman in times of need (thanks bro!) I am so grateful for you both and I cherish all of our memories from UCI and beyond. It has been a true honor to witness your growth as a couple, I love you both and I am so happy to be a part of your Wedding!! Let's gooooooo!!!

Christian Johnson is one of the eldest brothers of the Johnson clan. At 4 years old, his nickname of “Chris” was stolen by his little brother, Christopher. In fact, Christian was so adamant about being the one and only that he gave Christopher his middle name, Ameron. He currently resides in Brandywine, MD, and is the proud father of two girls, Zara and Ivy. His hobbies include movie nights with his girls and attending live musical performances. When we both went our separate ways to high school & college but sometime after college we meet back up when we both move to California to start our journeys & never lost a beat same cool, smart chill, down to earth dude. As their college tenure progressed, he, Chris, and Shomari became inseparable, where they would study together, travel the country, party, and partake in a slew of activities that would contribute to them becoming life long friends. During that stint is where he would meet Breyah and watch their relationship flourish, watching them go above and beyond for each other during tough times. On multiple occasions, he has witnessed the genuine love they have for each other and is ecstatic to see them join hands in marriage as the Johnsons.

Joshua Murray, 29, a native of Virginia and raised in North Carolina, has played a significant role as a supportive brotherly figure in Breyah's life since childhood. Both Josh and Breyah attended and graduated from the same high school. Following his high school career, Josh pursued a career in the Coast Guard, where he has served as an engineer for the past decade. Through his connection with Breyah, he also developed a close relationship with Chris. Josh holds immense pride in both Breyah and Chris, eagerly anticipating the celebration of their forthcoming marriage. We are delighted to announce that Josh recently celebrated his marriage to his lovely wife, Margarita Moreno, on June 10th, 2023. Mrs. Moreno is originally from Clifton, New Jersey. Presently, they both reside in San Francisco, California, and eagerly await Breyah and Chris's journey into matrimony, looking forward to sharing in their joyous moments.

My first time meeting Chris and Breyah was during the challenging time of COVID.
