Outdoor Activities

For our adventurous guests. If you want to take advantage of having the weekend off by being outdoors, then Raleigh has some great options close by! This includes the Greenway trail system that includes over 28 different trails. Horseback riding at local farms such as Phillips Farm (also in Raleigh). As well as golfing at one of the three major golf courses in Raleigh.

Nightlife

Check out Raleigh's selection of bars and live music shows for the Saturday night after the wedding! Niall Hanley’s Raleigh Beer Garden has one of the world's largest beer selections, as proven by representatives from Guinness World Records who visited in 2015 The Raleigh area's dance club scene is primarily in the downtown Raleigh Glenwood South entertainment district, and has plenty of drinks, dancing, live music, and great food!

Historical Activities

For our History lovers-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Gardens or The North Carolina Museum of History Both of these sites are located in downtown Raleigh and offer scheduled tours!

Shopping

The Village District of Raleigh spans across 6 city blocks and has more than 100 unique shops/boutiques, cafés, restaurants and services. It offers indoor or outdoor dining depending on the weather! Downtown Raleigh is another option for shopping more local brands such as House of Swank Clothing company, and Pam Blondin's DECO Raleigh are great options for homemade gift shopping. They feature homemade cards, crafts, home decor, etc. If you are looking for souvenirs here's the place to go.

Food

Where do we even begin? Raleigh is rich in vast options of cuisines and food settings. From restaurants, to breweries, food trucks, and food tours/trails- there is plenty to choose from! Right outside the city you can find "you-pick" farms selling in season food items as well as the local farmers market that is open 7 days a week that features many homegrown vendors!
