Tessa has been my dearest friend since the day I set foot on Grand Valley's campus a little over 4 years ago when she was a sophomore and I a freshman. We spent nearly every day of the next 2-3 years together having the best times on vacation, at home by her pool, or in a house of girls at school. We spent so much time learning about ourselves and growing in our faith and I'll always be thankful for having such a steady friend through those times together. Tessa is the go-to friend that knows just about everything about me. She is kind, friendly, loyal, and so fun to be around. Her friendship in the most important seasons of my life has been such a blessing to me. I'm really honored and excited to be entering marriage around the same time she did.

I met Katie my freshman year of college when we were in the same small group together. A couple years later we found ourselves living together and my life has been better ever since. Katie could very well be the funniest person I know. Katie knows just about everything about everything. She is the friend that you can sit in the same room with and be perfectly content although you haven't done anything. I once helped her put up 24 mini disco balls to hang from her ceiling and that should tell you everything you need to know. Katie is so easy to talk to, very smart, a wonderful chef, and a better friend. It should also be noted that Katie is just as much a friend of Spencer's as she is mine as she's considered "one of the boys".

Rachael is someone that's been very close to my heart since high school gym class where I convinced her to come to a camp with me that she'd never been to and also be my roommate. She thankfully said yes and has been one of my closest friends ever since. Rachael and I would predominantly spend summers together when I would get home from college so I'm pumped that we're year round friends now. Rachael is hilarious and the life of every party, yet the sweetest, most caring friend. She quite literally jumped for joy when I asked her to be my bridesmaid. She's someone that's been there for me through every season, always being a consistent friend.

Hannah is the friend that I truly feel I grew up with. I first remember meeting Hannah before the start of 6th grade when we were both decorating our lockers with our dads. I think I remember this a little more than she does. A good portion of our friendship has since revolved around our mutual love for Taylor Swift, starting with watching a music video premier together in the hallways of middle school. We've since been to volleyball camps, concerts, and everything in between together. This past year we finally got to be roommates for our senior year of college. We spent plenty of time on walks in hunt for our other mutual love of acai bowls. Hannah is thoughtful, kind, curious, and makes every setting all the more special. She's been a friend that has always felt like home to me.

Shelby will now be my sister!!!! (Whom I love very dearly). It would be hard to find a better friend than Shelby. She's the most loyal person, will make any environment more fun and always has a great story to tell. I respect her a lot for the way she sticks up for people in her life. She's someone that's always in your corner and will have your back. In the time I've known Shelby, I've always felt like I can come as I am, which is a very appreciated quality of any friend let alone sister. I'm so thankful to now have her in my life forever.

Lily has been a friend to me since high school when we were in the same high school youth group at church. Fast forward years later, and we went to the same college so much of my time there also got to be with Lily. I love Lily for how she always has the most creative ideas, the way she makes other people more confident, and how she has the ability to ensure everyone in a room is having a great time. She's the definition of beautiful inside and out. She's the most bubbly and friendly person I know, and carries those traits with her everywhere. I'm so thankful for our friendship after many years of birthday parties, concerts, retreats and much more. I can't wait to celebrate this next season with her by me.
