This is where we had our first date. It's a great embodiment of the best parts of the Sommerville community. This space not only houses the brewery, but an art gallery, shared working space for food startups, and the tasting restaurant where we got engaged.
Located just 2 blocks from our apartment, this is our local, neighborhood brewery. Great outdoor seating and kid and dog friendly.
If you're into breweries like we are, swing by this place for sure! This is biggest beer hall in the city. Stop in for a pretzel and flight if the line isn't too long. We typically like the more local micro-brews, but Harpoon does a great job despite it's size.
Mostly known only to locals, this taproom is growing fast. Awesome beer and food selection with lots of experimental options you can only get at the brewery.
We love this place because of it's creative use of the space. It's half taproom and half cafe. Stop in to get some work done and stay for a pint once you're done.
Great beer selection with lots of gypsy brews. Our local brewery when we lived in Southie in 2015-2018.
Our local grad school tavern. Say hi to Bill and Ben when you're there. Tell them Chris Pflum sent you.
Rachel's alma mater.
The downstairs, if you can get in, is straight out of your grandfather's basement house party.
Oldest Tavern in America, I think.
Chris' graduate alma mater.

Amazing political library. Great location. Worth the price of admission for the political nerd.
Must do if you're new to the city and like history
