Things To Do

Catch a Comedy Show

117 MacDougal St., New York, NY 10012

Catch an intimate comedy show at New York's top comedy club, the Comedy Cellar. A limited number of reservations are released online for each show. If you can't get a reservation, show up to the door 45 minutes early and you can usually get a seat.

Walk the High Line

7077 High Line, New York, NY 10001

Formerly an abandoned railroad, the High Line is a 1.5 mile long park and green space that sits elevated above the streets of Manhattan. There are multiple entrances and exits throughout the park but you can catch the start of the High Line at the address provided.

Have a Picnic

295 Washington St, Brooklyn, NY 10013

Pack a lunch and head to one of our favorite parks. Bridge Park is located in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn and offers amazing views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. Afterwards, walk off that pastrami sandwich along the waterfront with views of the East River.

See a Broadway Show

Broadway, New York, NY

To get a complete list of shows or purchase tickets, we recommend using Telecharge. You can visit them online at Telecharge.com or call them at (212) 239-6200. If you'd like buy tickets in-person, you can always visit the theater's box office. Box offices are typically open noon to curtain call. After the show, grab a slice of late-night cheesecake at Junior's Restaurant and Bakery.

Ride a Bike

Throughout the city, you'll see a number of Citi Bike stations. These are bikes that can be rented by the half hour. To use, download the Lyft or Citi Bike apps. Once you've finished your ride, dock your bike at the nearest Citi Bike station. If you're looking for a car-free bike path, we recommend taking the ride over the Brooklyn Bridge. The uphill portion can be a bit strenuous but this protected path takes you over the East River and drops you off near DUMBO, Brooklyn. Carrisa got some amazing photos and Chris got a hernia.

Take a Walking Tour

Walking tours are great way to learn about New York. From architecture to food, there's a tour for every interest. One of our favorite tour companies is Top Dog Tours NYC. The link is below.

Attend a Live TV Show Taping

Be part of a live studio audience on your favorite TV show. You can see a list of available shows and reserve tickets at 1iota.com. Tickets are typically free, released one month in advance, and sell out quickly. The link is below.
