The dresscode for the entire weekend is casual. Jeans, shorts, hiking dresses, whatever you're most comfortable in. Just don't forget your layers! The temperatures in the day will be warm and could even reach triple digits, but will drop at night. Up in the mountains a single day could bring temperatures in the 60s-90's, rain, hail, or even snow.
We've listed a number of suggestions under the "Things To Do" tab, but would be happy to help with additional recommendations, gear and maps, especially for hiking.
Please Check out the "Travel" tab for complete information on this topic. If you'd like to fly into Denver, we'd be happy to have you keep us company on our 8 hour drive Thursday. If we have the space you are welcome to ride with us or join our caravan. Based on the number of people who choose to do this we will either take 1 or 2 cars. We plan to camp Thursday night between Buffalo and Ten Sleep. If you prefer not to spend a day in the car, consider flying into either Casper, WY or Billings, MT. Between these two options, Billings is the larger airport and the city will have more options for lodging and food. If you do fly into Casper, consider staying the night in Buffalo.
We have rented two aribnbs for Friday and Saturday night for immediate family and the wedding party. If you plan to camp Thursday, or are not staying in one of our airbnbs you will need to bring your own camping supplies. If you're flying in and out of Denver we can help you to arrange equipment rentals, otherwise, many local REIs have rental programs.
In lieu of gifts, Chris and I ask that guests make a donation to Protect Our Winters in our name. Please go to the "Registry" tab for more information and to make a donation.
Attached is a sample packing list for what we would recommend bringing. Please reach out with specific questions. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gxWnbtWfl8y5eFSsP3koCK6JTfGWO8txvXmVrb4qGPA/edit?usp=sharing
