Yes, we tied the knot in a ceremony with our immediate family members at my parents' house on Amelia Island on 10.21.23

Should we rent a car?

Answer

Yes. We highly recommend renting a car. Ubers are available but are often sparse and require allowing extra time and preparing ahead.

Are my kids invited?

Answer

While we encourage everyone to make this a family vacation to the beach, the reception will be adults only outside of family members. *Children are welcome on Friday evening at the Oliver's for Welcome Drinks.

Is transportation provided to the marriage celebration?

Answer

The celebration reception is at Walker's Landing located on the Omni Resort property. If you book through the Omni then there will be shuttle service provided to the venue through the hotel. If you book through AirBnb or Vrbo for a private residence on the OMNI property then the shuttle service is not available. If you are staying off property, we will not be providing transportation to the reception, but there will be ample parking at the site. Also, we will provide a ride for anyone who needs it following the reception. It is feasible to retrieve a car the next day. Uber is not ubiquitous on the island so we recommend that you plan ahead if you would like to Uber/taxi to and from the reception. Will the celebration be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The reception will be held indoors, but weather permitting the cocktail hour will be outside to enjoy the marsh and sunset view.

Are Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island the same thing?

Answer

Fernandina Beach is the name of the city, and Amelia Island is the name of the whole island.
