Drop-in and join us for sunset, welcome drinks, and fireworks on Friday night. **Follow Oliver Lane (gravel road). You will pass a gate on the right, keep going to the end and around the curve to the right. There will be plenty of parking in front of the house For those that haven't been to the Island before, I'd recommend dinner in downtown Fernandina Beach after the welcome party.

Marriage Celebration

Coastal Cocktail/Holiday Festive Attire
For our marsh-side reception, we invite our guests to don "Coastal Cocktail Attire." Abbie will be wearing her dress and Chris a sports coat. We eagerly await celebrating our special day with you, as we unite for drinking, food and dancing! If you are driving to the wedding, there is plenty of parking at Walker's Landing. You need to enter and stop at the main gate for the Omni Resort (39 Beach Lagoon Road). They will have a guest list- mention you are going to the "Whitman" wedding. Please allow 10 minutes from the main gate to the venue which is on Marsh Creek Rd (follow signs from the main gate). If you put Walker's Landing into your GPS you will come to an unmanned gate. If staying at the Omni, the Omni provides a resort shuttle/transportation to get to the venue. You can call for the shuttle from your room.
After Party at Seaglass

When the formal festivities wrap up, the celebration doesn't have to end! For those wishing to continue the merriment, Seaglass, the Lobby Bar at the Omni Amelia, awaits with cocktails and live entertainment till midnight. While this isn't a hosted event, rumor has it that the bride and groom will probably make an appearance.

New Year's Eve Shrimp Drop

Chris and Abbie plan to attend the New Year's celebration at the Downtown Waterfront and would love for you to stop by if you choose to stay in town for New Year's Eve. The party features live music, laser shows, and food vendors. At 7:00 p.m. (midnight GMT), brace yourself as a illuminated shrimp descends, marking the beginning of an extraordinary firework display! This event takes place in the early evening, making it the perfect choice for families or those who wish to celebrate early, indulge in dinner (highly recommend making reservations), and then continue the festivities late into the night!

For those staying at the Omni, the hotel is hosting a free party by the pool: Fireworks & New Year's Eve (20)24K Gold Party | Pool Deck | December 31 | 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. Celebrate ringing in the new year with fireworks at midnight! There will be a DJ playing tunes. Join Chris and Abbie at the Omni Amelia Resort at midnight for New Year's Eve fireworks.
