We love to get dressed up, and we hope you do too! Our wedding is a formal event and the dress code is black tie. This means men should wear tuxedos or nice suits with dress shoes. Women should wear formal, floor-length gowns with heels.
Black tie attire does not mean you have to wear black! Guests are welcome to wear a variety of colors for their formal attire - yellow, orange, blue, green, purple, pink, etc. are all great options. We love color and encourage guests to wear colored dresses and ties/bow ties. However, if you feel more comfortable in black, that works too. We request guests please avoid wearing clothing in traditional colors reserved for the bride like whites, ivories, and creams.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm, so we recommend guests plan to arrive at the Rosewood Miramar Beach between 2:30pm - 2:45pm.
Guests who arrive after the ceremony has started at 3pm will not be permitted to enter the ceremony area, per the venue policy. Guests will need to wait inside until after the ceremony is completed and then they may join us for the cocktail hour and reception after.
While we love your kids, both the wedding and reception are adult-only, age 21+ events. Because alcohol is being served at the venue, all guests should have a valid ID and be at least 21 years of age.
Due to limited capacity and security, we can only allow the people who have been specifically named on your invitation to attend the wedding and reception. We are unable to accommodate for additional guests outside of those who are listed on the invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "[Your Name] & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.
If your plans have changed since submitting your RSVP, please contact Stephanie and David as soon as possible. We kindly request that guests promptly notify us of any updates since we will need to make appropriate arrangements with the venue.
There are many great hotel options in the Santa Barbara area! Any of the hotels in the Santa Barbara region should be within 15-20 mins of the venue, so you can select any hotel you feel comfortable at. Check out the "Travel" tab on this website for more information and suggested hotels.
We are registered at Bloomingdales, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Pickard China. Please click the "Registry" page on this website for more information.
There is valet available at the main entrance of the Rosewood Miramar Beach off of South Jameson Lane. If you do not want to valet, there is also free public street parking surrounding the hotel on South Jameson Lane and Eucalyptus Lane, but it is extremely limited. If you plan to park on one of the streets in the public parking areas, we recommend arriving early and allowing extra time to find a spot. Please do not leave any valuables in your car.
Yes. For guests who are staying at the Montecito Inn, we will provide a shuttle from the Montecito Inn to the ceremony. In the evening, the shuttles will also take guests back from the Rosewood Miramar Beach to the Montecito Inn. It is approximately a 5 minute drive between the two locations. Guests who are staying in AirBnbs or other lodging close to the Montecito Inn may also use the shuttle. Please let Stephanie and David know beforehand if you are planning to take the shuttle but are not staying at the Montecito Inn.
We have arranged for trolleys to help transport guests to and from the venue. Before the ceremony, the trolley will pick up from the Montecito Inn and bring guests to the Rosewood Miramar Beach. The trolley pick up times are 2pm and 2:20pm at the Montecito Inn. The shuttles will also help bring guests back at the end of the night with continuous service between the Montecito Inn and the Rosewood Miramar Beach from 10pm to midnight. At the very end of the night, the trolly will also make one drop off at the Kimpton Canary hotel in downtown Santa Barbara.
Both the ceremony and cocktail hour are scheduled to take place outside on the main lawn areas of the venue. The reception will be indoors in the chandelier ballroom.
The reception will begin at 5pm and end at midnight. There will be plenty of good music, food, drinks, and dancing, so we hope you are ready to have fun!
