Meet our family and friends that are walking down the aisle with us!

Ebere Onuoha

Maid of Honor

I've known Chinelo all her life, she has a beautiful heart and an even more beautiful personality. You’ll always be my baby sister, running after me in your nappies, love you always!

Ugochukwu Nze

Best Man

I have known CJ all my life and he is alway so competitive. He had to be born first. First doctor in the family (I almost beat him). And now he just had to go and get married first too! Excited for my new sister!! Welcome to the Nze Clan

Kenechukwu Akametalu

Best Man

and I met shortly before our freshman year at UCSB, and 12 years later I count him amongst my closest friends. I knew him before the fitted suits - back when my Dad questioned our friendship because he wore his pants below his waist. Even then, CJ was someone I admired and learned from. He taught me how to tie a Windsor Knot, how to Jerk (but not how to Dougie!), that purpose should be at the center of our work, that men can cook, and that faith gives us the strength to overcome adversity. Now, I get to see him take this next step with OUR wife to be, Chinelo. My interactions with Nelo though brief, left a strong impression. She is caring, adventurous, TALENTED, resourceful, and most importantly she loves CJ, even when he is selfish ;-). Congratulations to both of you

Ioana Okam

Bridesmaid

I met Chinelo 5 years ago and it was like we had been friends forever! I’m honored to be a part of her day in this way and I’m excited as she starts this new journey with CJ!

Jamaji Nwanaji-Enwerem

Groomsman

I met Chijioke in the Fall of 2012. Little did we know that we would become friends, roommates, confidants, and lifelong brothers. I vividly remember the summer day when Chijioke met Chinelo. Although I was not there for their initial meeting, it became almost impossible to ignore the happiness Chijioke was radiating. “Chijioke, did you buy a new car? get a side job? win some money?” No. “Well, it’s got to be a woman!” Over the next few years, I had the privilege of watching their love blossom in the most beautiful ways. They have shared some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows. Despite it all, they remained strong and always hopeful for an even greater tomorrow. I wish them all the best and am humbled by the opportunity to help send them off into an eternity of marital love.

Mariam Ahmed

Bridesmaid

It was love at first sight in the checkout line at Zara 3 years ago. After admiring her beautiful hair, I mustered up the courage to say hi. Chinelo was so welcoming and warm and we clicked instantaneously. After that day Nelo became one of my best friends, and when I moved to Boston, CJ and Nelo became my family away from home. I am so proud and honored to be part of this union.

Elorm Avakame

Groomsman

I was Chijioke's roommate for 4 years in medical school. I was there when Chinelo came into Chijioke's life and had a front row seat to how much better she made it. The blessings have even spilled over from his life into ours! Thanks to her, I've now learned how to find my #angles.

Maryem Mabrouk

Bridesmaid

Chinelo and I met in college almost 7 years ago and we became best friends forever. Nelo and I traveled together and created cherished memories that I will carry forever and ever. What I love most about Nelo is her calm and wise personality and her love for my moroccan cooking! I am so happy to be part of her big day and wish her and CJ a blessed journey.

Chidi Onongaya

Groomsman

I met Chijioke in the fall of 2009 during move-in at UCSB. He let me borrow his physics book, listened to me after running two miles to discuss a bad grade that I thought had ended my career aspirations and gave me a place to stay in Boston when I had nowhere else to go. We shared many laughs and roasting sessions alike. I am and will remain forever grateful for the brotherhood he and I share. I met Chinelo early on when they are started dating, and instantly saw the balance she provided as well as his endless cheesing whenever he is around her. I have rarely seen two people in such sync who truly appear to cherish one another as I have with the two of you. I am privileged to celebrate your union and wish you all many prosperous years as well as Chijioke getting better at FIFA.

Nneoma Nze

Bridesmaid

Chinelo and I met during a trip to Cuba around my birthday. We quickly bonded over our love for adventures and meeting new people. Chinelo is such a thoughtful person, and all around amazing human! I couldn't be happier to have her as a sister!

Olu Jaiyeoba

Groomsman

It’s 2005 and Chijioke is fresh off the boat from Nigeria ready to make an impression at my high school. Then fast forward to 2008 when he followed me to UC Santa Barbara, religiously trying to play me 1 on 1 in basketball whenever I was free. 2017 I eventually let him beat me in basketball and watch him receive a doctorate from Harvard because he couldn’t stand the fact that I got mine From Hampton. That was the first time I saw Nelo and CJ together and said to myself this may really be the one. Now it’s 2020 and the little brother I never wanted will take the biggest step of his life, marrying a true Queen. I love you and thank you for giving me a new sister

Chioma Woko

Bridesmaid

Chinelo and I met in Boston a couple years ago and our casual introduction blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Over the years we’ve travelled together, made wonderful memories, and supported each other’s growth in various ways. I’m so happy to have been able to witness Chinelo and Chijioke's love from the beginning to this point!

Ayobami Olufadeji

Groomsman

I met Chijioke 4 years ago through a mutual friend, and with a few others, they formed the support group that helped me through my first few years living in Boston. Chinelo, Chijioke and I have been “roommates” for almost 2 years and it has been so refreshing watching their relationship blossom. I’m honored to be a part of their special day and will be rooting for them until thy kingdom come!

Sochi Moronto

Flower Girl

I love Aunty Chinelo. She's my sweetheart. She brings me things from the store. I love Uncle CJ too. He's my sweetheart. I like his hair.

Ebube Nze

Page Boy

Brother of the Groom. When initially asked if Chijioke was allowed to get married, he said "nnoooo". After some coarsing, he said OK "but no kissing". Chijioke did not make any promises. Excited to have this little guy in our wedding
