This refers to your usual cocktail or semiformal attire, but mountain-ish. To be specific, this means you may want to opt for boots or more comfortable footwear for walking on grass or gravel. It might get chilly at night, so bring some layer options, and feel free to wear semiformal pants rather than a dress if you'd like. Ties are optional (Jonah will be tie-free), but bolos are encouraged if that's your thing. Maybe dust off that hat you bought at the stock show a few years back and haven't had the opportunity to show off.
We'll confirm this with you shortly after we receive your RSVPs. For many of our family and family-friends, you can expect cabins on-site with bathrooms or potentially a cabin at Sun Outdoors depending on the capacity we talked about in the Travel & Lodging page. For many friends, your accommodations will be super cool elevated glamping tents with patios and fire pits and external, shared bathroom buildings.
We will provide all meals during the course of the weekend. For those of you (hopefully all) who will be staying onsite, we kindly request that you pay $300 per person for the weekend to cover food and lodgings. AVR provides some equipment for activities. There is also a small shop to buy any forgotten essentials or souvenirs.
FOOTWEAR You'll want comfortable footwear to walk around the property. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be on grass (except for the dance floor). Bring shoes appropriate for the activities you may be interested in: hiking boots, fishing boots, lakeside sandals, or anything else that you'd want walking around the ranch on gravel, dirt, and grass. If you’re staying in a glamping tent or tipi, you may want slip-ons for trips to the bathroom building. LAYERS It will likely be hot during the day and chilly at night, so bring layers and a raincoat just in case.
