Is the event still happening?

YES! At this point everything will continue as planned. We are excited to celebrate with those of you who can make it; for those who are unable to travel at this time, we will miss you!

How far from Austin is the wedding venue?

Answer

Lago Vista is a quaint Texas Hill Country town located northwest of the city of Austin proper. Depending on the part of the city you are trying to get to it can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 1+ hour (and of course don't get me started on that Austin traffic).

What sort of venue is this? I can't find anything for it on Google Maps.

Our wedding is taking place at the home of some dear family friends, Jim & Susie Awalt. Mariposa is their pride and joy and we are so thankful for their generosity to host our special day!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation included "and Guest" then you are more than welcome to! However, if it did not then we would prefer you save date night for another time. Unfortunately we do not have quite enough room at our venue to accommodate everyone.
