Maid of Honor
Veronica and Chelsea worked together at a trendy period start-up where they frequently hired an indie rock band to play at their work functions. At SXSW in 2016, Veronica dragged Chelsea around to listen to said band, and Veronica quickly started dating the drummer. A few months later, Chelsea was dating the guitarist. Now they're getting married! V is a big presence in Chelsea & Mike's truly Millennial love story (which she will be the first to tell you).
Best Man
Ben and Mike met outside of a dorm during a fire drill at Quinnipiac and bonded fast over a mutual love of emo bands and The Simpsons. Ben quickly became a figure at Mike’s off-campus house. Mike has always admired how Ben’s curt Jersey demeanor belies a steadfast code of ethics, and the two have worked together on everything from the campus radio station to a fledgling cassette label to now planning the bachelor party festivities.
Bridesmaid
Liz and Chelsea were randomly selected to be roommates in college, and immediately knew they were destined to be lifelong weirdos together. These two have an entire vocabulary of their own — complete with pet names and silly games...all of which Mike still doesn't understand, but accepts anyway. From galavanting around Europe to late night Thanksgiving dance parties — Liz and Chelsea and an inseparable pair who love each other so much it hurts.
Groomsman
Mike first saw Dave’s band Twiga play at a now-defunct DIY venue in Brooklyn (“which one?” ha ha). They orbited each other in the local music scene until Mike finally found an in, subbing on guitar in Dave’s band whenever the other guy couldn’t do it. After a family emergency pulled Dave’s now-wife (hi Sarah!) out of town for months, Mike & Chelsea did damn near everything with him, from beach trips to karaoke nights. Dave is the proud father of 3 cats: Huck, Peter, and Henny.
Bridesmaid
Veronica is Chelsea's oldest friend — spanning 18 years of friendship. They met in Mrs. Berry's 6th grade block, when Chelsea sat next to Veronica on the first day because she was a chubby 11 year-old, too. They have quite literally grown up together, but their mutual love of stuffed crust pizza and playing dress-up together continues strong into their 30s!
Groomsman
Mike didn’t grow up with a little brother, but it's better late than never! Cody & Chelsea grew up in the Bay Area, where he still lives today. He and Mike don't get too many opportunities to hang out, which has made the time they've spent together on holidays and weddings particularly memorable. Cody is a new dad to baby Mason and will be the one to watch out for on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin has the special honor of being Mike's sister, and Chelsea has the great privilege of *finally* getting one! Cait has been such a great support system for the couple throughout their 3 year relationship, from drinking copious amounts of red wine at Thanksgiving to getting down at family weddings. They can't wait to make so many more great memories.
Groomsman
Stephen & Mike spent years playing together in Great Caesar. When Mike moved to NYC, Stephen was already living with a few of the guys from the band in Williamsburg. When a breakup left Mike sleeping on their couch for nearly two months, the two developed a close friendship, bonding over music (duh) and their newfound mutual singledom. They’ve toured the US multiple times together, often sharing apartments in Bed-Stuy when not on the road. Few friendships have accrued as many miles as theirs.
Bridesmaid
Alita and Chelsea met through a mutual friend shortly after college when Alita moved to NYC. They immediately bonded over their love of fashion and getting free drinks at clubs they're way too old and boring for now. Alita is one of the most loyal and steadfast people in Chelsea's life, which was quickly made evident by the fact that Alita singlehandedly organized Chelsea's big move from the Upper East Side to Williamsburg only a couple months into knowing each other. She's a real one. These days their hangs mostly consist of eating pasta, walking around flea markets, and a good Malbec.
Groomsman
Pat & Mike met by chance when Pat, on tour from his native Michigan, booked Mike’s band to play a show in Brooklyn. Pat was in town for a few more days, so they hung out and went to shows, a trend that continued after Pat’s NYC relocation and to this day. Mike brought Pat home for Thanksgiving one year when both were single, and they spent most of the weekend passing Pat’s OKCupid profile back and forth, a process that through which Pat first contacted his now-wife Hayley (hi Hayley!). Pat has been one of Mike’s biggest champions since before they even met, and he appreciates his unwavering support.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Chelsea met through their husbands (hi Dave!) and fast became the best of friends while being subjected to various shitty bands at various shitty venues in Brooklyn. They share a love of the beach, interior design, baking, and vintage everything. Chelsea's favorite thing about Sarah is her unique sense of humor and her genuine interest in other people (which she very much admires).
