It is! We know it's uncommon for a wedding to be smack dab in the middle of the week — but 2020 has taught us there are no rules! Truthfully, a mid-week date was the only option for us to reschedule with our venue. While uncouth, we're leaning into the untraditional nature of a mid-week wedding & encourage everyone making the trip to make a mini vacation out of it. We purposefully chose the Wednesday before Labor Day because we figured more time off from work might be available for our guests. If you can't make it due to the new date being a Wednesday, we completely understand!
We love your kids — we really do! We want our wedding to be your night off, so please leave the little ones at home with a babysitter.
From NYC — we recommend either renting a car and driving, or taking the Amtrak from Penn Station to Hudson. Most hotels & rentals will be within walking distance of the train station in Hudson. A vehicle is recommended if you are planning to venture around upstate NY, or if you are not booking accommodations in Hudson or at the Holiday Inn Express. We wouldn't recommend you rely on ride share services or cabs to get around. From outside of NYC — JFK, LGA, & EWR airports are all about 2.5 hours from the venue. Albany airport is about 45 minutes, but flights might be more restrictive. If you have a few extra days to spare, we'd recommend flying into an NYC area airport & exploring the city, then either renting a car or catching Amtrak upstate.
Yes! Please see the "Schedule" tab for shuttle schedule information.
There is parking for 80 vehicles, however, we strongly recommend taking the shuttle to & from the wedding.
Please see the "travel" section for all relevant suggestions!
If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
For the welcome drinks, we'd love you to don your best country chic. Not sure what that means? We put together a little inspo for you here: https://pin.it/joxxz4fszkcrhp. For the wedding, we'd love to see you all cleaned up in cocktail attire. Please note that Gather Greene is mainly an outdoor venue, and the temperature can drop a bit in the mountains. We recommend you bring a shawl or jacket for later in the evening. We also advise you keep your stillettos at home in favor of block heels, wedges, or flats — most of the terrain is grass & gravel.
