More of a general area than specific place, Zona Romantica is near the beach and full of bars, shopping, and restaurants and is a fantastic area to explore while in PV. It is 15 minutes from the resort, so we highly recommend taking an Uber out here for a day of fun.
Some of the best tacos Chase and Krista have ever had, a little hole in the wall taco place that is worth the wait. Bring pesos as they are a cash only establishment.
Los Arcos National Marine Park is an iconic natural area that sits just 20 minutes south of the main square in downtown Puerto Vallarta. This park is protected from agricultural and developments and new construction, so it's become a haven for a range of bird species as well as sea life, including tropical fish. Los Arcos is only reachable by boat so we recommend doing some type of boat tour or water activity to get there!
Street market every Saturday 9:00-2:00pm
There are a few golf courses in Puerto Vallarta, but this is the closest one to downtown. Prices fluctuate on the peak hours, and range from $70- $130 for 18. About 45 minutes from the resort plan accordingly if you want to add this to your trip!
The Marietas Islands are a collection of small, uninhabited islands off the coast of Riviera Nayarit. Punta Mita is the closest departure point for reaching the islands, but many Puerto Vallarta vacationers add the Marietas Islands to their itineraries given its close proximity (about an hour’s drive north). The islands are known for their incredible beaches, flora and fauna, and marine life, including sea turtles, tropical fish, dolphins and manta rays. Plan on a longer day excursion to explore this beautiful place.
There are plenty of fun activities available right here at the hotel which offers activities including stand up paddle boards, hiking, kayaks for free, or events such as tequila tastings for an additional charge
