I (Charlston) wanted to get to know her (it was innocent, I promise), so I asked her out for breakfast at Stacks in Downtown Campbell. Four hours and four stacks of blueberry pancakes later, we headed to the local bookstore down the street because she was in search of a particular book. While crossing a few streets through a busy downtown, my hands began to sweat and my heart began to race; I had no idea what was happening, but I knew it wasn't the overdose of maple syrup. When we got there, it really must've been the lighting and angle, but just like in the movies I catch her in the aisle reading through a Murakami book with a beam of light glowing right on her. That's when I knew. In knowing Swon, I found myself a true friend and a kind soul. Not many things bring me as much joy as Swon laughing out loud or clearing the crumbs off her face because she just gorged down cookies before our date. And I realize that in loving Swon, I get to love her daily. Working together to glorify God and lifting each other up, learning to argue, learning to be selfless, learning to forgive, learning to listen, and learning to love the way we are loved by Christ. She is my absolute best friend and I'm the luckiest man in this world to be marrying her. I (Swon) met him at church and instantly found his character and love for God super attractive (but intimidating). We'd see each other at morning prayer, small groups, and church fellowships and my respect for him only grew bigger. After a fateful breakfast and stroll through Downtown Campbell, sparks flew and the rest is history! Until I met Charlston, I didn't think I could talk to another person on the phone for 8 hours. Now I know that it's only possible because that person is Charlston and only because we were made to be husband and wife.
