We met Dichaba while all working in Guatemala, she and Charlie happened to end up in the same grad school program and then we moved to the same neighborhood in Brooklyn! She was our podmate throughout the pandemic and our favorite stoop buddy. We couldn't think of a better person to bring us together for this next chapter.
Miller Brackett

As members of the Ward "5 Pack" Miller and I are part of a group of 5 cousins who were born over 1 calendar year. We spent our childhoods at each others houses and creating a bond more like brothers and a sister than cousins. Miller made his way back to NYC just as I was moving and I couldn't have lucked out more when he finally moved to Brooklyn and was only a short 11 minute bike ride away!
Maddie Ward

My closest sister in age and distance in Wicker Park (she lives a 5 minute walk away). We spent many years as each others main playmate and I am excited to finally live close enough to see each other more! She has visited me in Baltimore and NYC and always brings laughs and a plan of attack. She is your go to girl for creative questions and can be counted on to arrive on your move in day 5 minutes after you with ice coffee and sandwiches in tow (all good qualities of a top tier bridesmaid)

Caila was born when I was 8 years old and when I first found out she was on her way I sobbed and said I didn't want her....midway through my moms pregnancy Maddie and I were wishing on wishbones that she would be twins and safe to say she got the energy of 2! Caila only let me watch her when we had babysitters and we spent her formative years teaching her naughty things to repeat to my parents. She is the life of the party and always can be counted on for a good time!
Galen McDonald

Galen is by far Charlie's favorite sister! My younger sister by 5 years, Galen is a passionate and loving human, who has always tried to open the eyes of those around her to be more inclusive. After leaving Olympia a few years back our lives have followed a similar geographical trajectory, although unfortunately never lived in the same place at the same time. Maybe someday soon we will be in the same area (please?). We are so excited that Galen gets to stand up with us at our wedding!
Nic McDonald
Best Man
Charlie's big brother and adventure partner, Nicholas cares so much about those around himself, almost to a fault. He helped to secure water to fight wildfires in New Mexico while refusing to drive a car that had an semblance of safety features. We got to play one year of soccer together in High School and although I was levels above him it was still nice to share the field. I look up to him and am proud to share today with my big bro.

Brother to Sam and future brother in law to Charlie. Seamus is Sam's favorite brother and followed her into nursing! He is always down for fun and brings energy to any room he is in. Always adventuring and being a goof--we are excited for adventures with Seamus now that we live in the same city!
Clay Parker

Clay has been a huge part of Charlie's life for the past twelve years. We have shared basements, apartments, and trips in New Hampshire, Ancobra, and Virginia. Although we now live in different states Clay is and always has been someone that I can call at any time and who will offer sage advice. We are proud to have Clay standing up with us in September.
